I am a friendly, professional and enthusiastic musician with a passion for passing on my love of music.

Having worked with all ages and abilities of musicians - from adult beginners looking to learn a new skill to kids 6-18, university students, to talented amateur musicians looking to hone their craft, I will inspire you to reach the next level in your playing.

I currently teach both privately and attached to numerous youth educational programs including the Elizabeth College Summer Orchestral Course. In the past I also taught and conducted with the Stockport School's Brass Band Service, where I worked with children as young as 5 and many with learning difficulties.

As a Private teacher, I offer lessons in the following to an advanced professional standard in classical, jazz and popular music idioms:

  • Trombone

  • Trumpet

  • Tuba

  • Piano

  • Improvisation

  • Composition

  • Harmony

Here you'll find a ten-part documentary series on the history of Jazz which I produced during the 2020 covid-19 UK lockdown. We look at its historical and social origins, the power of this wonderful music and discuss the trajectories that has kept jazz evolving and thriving for over a century. From Duke Ellington to the vanguards of jazz in Peckham today. This is a great place to start to expand your knowledge of jazz.
